TEKST & UITLEG
Gipsy jazz kenners zullen ongetwijfeld in de wolken zijn met het optreden van Fapy Lafertin en zijn Quartet. Fapy geldt als een van de belangrijkste en meest pure vertegenwoordigers van de Django stijl.
In 1975 richtte hij samen met zijn jeugdvriend Koen De Cauter het legendarische Waso Quartet op, waarmee zij de eersten waren die de muziek van Django terug onder de aandacht brachten. Sinds 1985 bouwt Fapy Lafertin een solocarrière uit die hem wereldwijd als één van de beste gitaristen uit het gipsy swing genre doet gelden en hem al op de planken bracht met beroemdheden als Stéphane Grapelli, Adelaide Hall, Earl Oakin, Scott Hamilton en vele anderen.
Fapy woont net over de Asseneedse grens en trad al enkele keren op in de Strandpaal en Club 28.
